Google announced its new headphones, Google Pixel Buds 2, at its previous conference on October 15, 2019. In the previous generation, Google did not fully adopt the idea of wireless headphones, but rather linked the two headphones with a wire that connects them together. In the new version, the company finally resorted to the idea of wireless headphones. With the same policy of designing the existing headphones, but without the wire that connects the two headphones together.
According to many opinions, they seemed to fix bugs and errors which were found in the originals as well as adding new features. We will be covering in this article many more about the Google pixel earphones.
– Who can use the new Google pixel buds?
- It can be used by android users.
- These buds are very easy to use compared with other wireless expensive models despite not being able to cancel the noise.
- – To those who use Google assistant, they going to enjoy it for sure.
– The 2020 new pixel earbuds features:
– A perfect design
Google released these headphones to compete against all AirPods and all wireless headphones. The design of the speakers is so small that it only appears as a small circle when in your ear. I consider this the perfect design and perfect application for the idea of wireless headsets. In addition, the speaker box is very small, it can be a little too big for the Airpods, but still very small. In addition, it contains strong magnets to hold it in place when you put it in the box.
Here comes the question of how do the earbuds stay secured in the ear? The answer is that each bud has a long trunk which is alike to the elephants to make it easy to imagine, this trunk culminates in a cozy silicon ear tip alongside with fins which cause more stability
One of the biggest reasons I have personally come to love Google pixel buds 2 is just how comfortable they are. While the silicon tips feel just a little bit cheap and flimsy to the touch, in your ear they feel good, and the lightweight themselves leave you to forget that they are even there.
– Instant pairing
As usual with a lot of Google’s products, the software is a highlight for pixel buds that starts with a fast pairing. This feature connects to Android phones that leave a one-tap pairing process that also links the buds to your Google account that means you can only pair to the earbuds in seconds to your primary phone
– The integration with Google’s assistant
There are tons of truly wireless earbuds out there but if you are an Android user, you should probably consider Google’s pixel buttons.
Undoubtedly, the best feature of the pixel buds is the integration they hold with Google’s assistant. A quick triggers assistant in your ears so you can quickly recite a command and have Google take things over from there. Most earbuds have a function to access your voice assistant but it is considerably faster and more accurate on pixel buds. The hands-free commands really come in handy too. You may use the voice commands to send text messages to someone as well as asking for the weather to the assistant. They can be used for asking questions, starting music that sounds good on pixel buds by the way, and pretty much anything else that you would use assistant for.
– Google’s comprehensive microphone system
Google’s comprehensive microphone system plays nicely with all vocal registers. Speech intelligibility can also be attributed to voice-detecting accelerometer — something we have seen with the Apple AirPods Pro. Sure, the person on the other line will likely recognize you are speaking from a headset mic, but the background noise is effectively ignored, which is a must-have feature when speaking on the go.
– Language translation
A major selling point of the Pixel Buds (2020) is real-time translation. It worked and accurately interpreted what was said, but the process was tedious. Users must download the Google Translate app, and have it open on their phones when using live translations.
– The charging case and battery
As it considered an important part of any wireless earbuds. A good charging case is indicative of a good pair of truly wireless earbuds; the Google Pixel Buds (2020) case ticks all of the boxes. The soft-touch plastic feels premium and is a pocketable size and shape. It houses a single button on the back for manual pairing and a USB-C input on its underbelly. There are two LEDs on the case; an external one to notify users of the case is the remaining battery, an interior one that communicates the earbuds’ battery levels. The pebble-shaped case has a slim and compact shape. Comparing to the AirPods of Apple, it is thicker and taller. It can be carried away in any place as it fits the pocket of any jacket.
* Long battery life
Sound Guys recorded 6 hours, 8 minutes of playtime from the Google Pixel Buds 2 on a single charge, which exceeds the company’s specs by an hour. Quick charging is supported here: 10 minutes in the case yields two hours of playtime. The USB-C case supplies an additional 24 hours of listening, which means you can get a few weeks of at-home workouts in before topping it back up. Doing so takes about two hours with the included USB-C cable or via Qi wireless charging pad.
– The great sound and noise
Which is considered a wonderful feature of the new Google pixel earphones, Most of the time you will be using the AirPods in listening to music or to the audio for its quality. Google pixel earbuds have got one of the most nuanced signatures of sound ever.
* Noise cancellation
Naturally, the silicone earbud tips are able to cancel the passive noise as they block the noises outside using a physical object. Regarding the Google pixel buds, this happens less because of the vent. This is useful in my opinion as the reduction of the natural noises eliminates the noises which run in the background like the noise of the fans. On the other hand, any noises which are close to you can be heard over low-volume music
Google offers an adaptive sound feature that adjusts the volume based on ambient noises. Further, Google uses software to let you locate missing buds and offer in our detection. Both of which work well.
This means that during wearing the Google pixel earphones for 5 hours charging time you will not be complaining about the same annoying pain that you may have after the 5 hours charging time of listening to the hard tipped AirPods.
– Finally:
I see that buying the new Google pixel earbuds 2 is a win as it keeps you fully aware of the surroundings and is going to be a great set of earbuds for a ton of Android users, however, it might not be a good choice for everyone who prefers to purchase earbuds which are able to cancel noise.
